I was a Year 6 student at Hay Park School in Auckland, NZ. I was in McCahon Class and my teacher was Mrs Kingston. This was where I shared my learning.
Our class had a blog and you can visit it by clicking here.

Goal setting conference
This is my goal setting conference slide and it is all about my goals that I set for the first term in the year.
How to be a positive learner in McCahon class
This is my first explanation text for the year and it was kind of tricky because I had not that much ideas so what I did, I was thinking of using my spelling words and that is what I used to make a good text about being a McCahon learner.
So next time I will know what to do.
In McCahon class is knowing each other and always focused on your work. You should always be open-minded and all those things are by following the hay park way. Also trying your best and being a positive learner.
In McCahon class everyone is a self directed learner. Self directed learner means to always be organised every morning. Also have everything done in the morning in all times. That's what everyone in McCahon class does. So when you know to be self directed in your learning.
We also have a Growth mind set. Growth mind set is all about saying what am I missing instead of I am not good at that. So there is lots of other things that you need to think about keeping balanced on your work.
There is one little thing you always don’t forget and that is the Hay Park way. The Hay Park way is being safe and positive. You also need to be respectful in the class and where you go.
We all have a learner profile. A learner profile is goals that you have been setting in the year. Also being a risk-taker in your own learning. It is about How I want to be as a whole person. That’s why you always have to be looking every day at your learner profile.
I think that being in McCahon class is a right stage for me for this year.
James I like how you intruded everything at the start but you were supposed to write about positive learning. And That is all about being a leaner in McCahon class.
So next time I will know what to do.

2015 IS HERE!!
We are into week 2 of Term 1,
I really like McCahon class because I am here with my friends and also here with a very nice teacher
Mrs Kingston.
We are going to be setting some goals in the next few weeks and we will be sharing our amazing goals with our families.
The best thing about being back at school is meeting some new friends that had came from other schools.
Don't forget to check back on my blog during the year!

Narrative writing
In the morning we had a trip to the icy mountain with my friend David and it was so so COLD!!! It was so cold and I was freezing to death. My body was full with ice.
When I had got there I had no where to build a house it was hard to find a place to build my house. So first I went with David in the forest and looked out for wood . After a while David got lost so I went and looked for him but I saw no one . The forest smelt like red cold blood.
When I was going to find wood I heard a weird noise, BANG BANG and I saw it was a bulldog so I ran as fast as I can. It was like I was playing rugby with a dog, “GET AWAY.” The dog was huge like a dinosaur.
Then I grabbed a stick and threw it on the side so that the dog can chase it and not chase me. After that I saw waves POUNDING down like a earthquake so I kept on running. In one hour it had stopped and I was so happy because I felt like I was going to die but I was feeling a little sad.
When the dog ran to get the stick I saw a car driving through me and once he saw me he was David so I hopped in the car and we gassed it like a cat.
